SEEKING QUALIFIED FAMILIES TO PURCHASE NEW HOME

Cheshire Interfaith Housing, Inc. (CIH) is seeking qualified applicants who wish to purchase a newly built home in Cheshire, Connecticut.  First-time home buyers only, may write to CIH at the address below to request an application.  Certain income limitations do apply, depending upon family size.  For example, for a family of 4, the total adjusted gross income for the household cannot exceed $56,500.00.  For a family of 5, the income limit is $61,000.00.  A personal interview will be required of all applicants who meet our threshold qualifications.

The new home will be built by CIH, with construction to begin in the Spring of 2004.  The house will be sold at a price far below current market rates, and will be sold with certain restrictive covenants.  This will be a dream opportunity for qualified purchasers to own a new home.  CIH does require the successful applicant/family to put in a minimum of 150 hours of “sweat equity” towards building their new home.
